The Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, on Wednesday reshuffled his cabinet.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, who confirmed the development in a statement in Katsina.
Those affected were Dr. Bashir Gambo-Saulawa, who was moved from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Water Resources, and Hajiya Hadiza Yar’Adua, from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to the Ministry of Women Affairs.
Other affected commissioners were Hajiya Zainab Musawa, who was transferred from the Ministry of Women’s Affairs to the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
Alhaji Hamza Suleiman-Faskari of the Ministry of Water Resources was moved to the Ministry of Environment, and Alhaji Isa Muhammad-Musa shifted from the Ministry of Special Duties to the Ministry of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education.
Also affected were Alhaji Yusuf Rabiu-Jirdede from the Ministry of Rural and Social Development to the Ministry of Special Duties, Prof. Abdulhamid Ahmed, from the Ministry of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education to the Ministry of Rural and Social Development.
Alhaji Musa Adamu-Funtua was transferred from the Ministry of Environment to the Ministry of Health.
“The governor directed all the affected commissioners to hand over their current responsibilities to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective ministries with immediate effect.
The governor will proceed on a one-month vacation beginning from Thursday to August 18.
He had since handed over the affairs of the state to his deputy, Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe.
