“Security agencies have informed the Kaduna State Government that unidentified persons attacked Machun and Manuka villages in Zangon Kataf LGA, killing three residents and injuring several others.
“Police personnel responded to a distress call from Machun village and mobilized there, according to the report.
They were also alerted by gunshots from Manuka when they arrived.
He said, “As the assailants fled the area, the operatives discovered the bodies of three victims.”
He said an unspecified number of people had been hurt and were being treated in hospitals.
The report was received with sadness by Gov. Nasir El-Rufai, who prayed for the repose of the residents killed and sent condolences to their families, according to the Commissioner.
He also wished the injured people a speedy recovery and urged local security agencies to conduct thorough investigations into the incident.

The governor, according to Aruwan, also urged an increase in efforts to apprehend the perpetrators of the attacks.
Security agencies are continuing operations in the area, according to Aruwan.
