Governor Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was informed by the APC presidential candidate that the courtesy call was required out of respect and admiration for his support of justice, equity, and fairness.
According to Tinubu, he entered the race for Nigeria’s presidency in 2023 on the grounds that Governor Wike has consistently argued for the return of power to the South.
Without personalizing it, Tinubu said, “Our courtesy call is out of the respect I have for you.”
