Politicians and political parties have continued to strategize, align, and canvass support for would-be aspirants in the run-up to the general elections, particularly the presidential election, as the 2023 general election gains traction.
Following this trend, the Democratic People’s Party’s (DPP) national women’s leader, Mrs. (Amb.) Bolanle Victoria Oviasojie, has endorsed former vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as Nigeria’s next president in 2023.
She stated this in an Abuja press statement that she personally signed. According to the press release, Chief Mrs. Oviasojie reiterated her belief that the former Vice President, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is the best man for the job at this time due to his political experience.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, she said, is a man of the people, a detribalized national figure who is adored by Nigerians of all regions, religions, and tribes. She went on to say that Alhaji Atiku is a well-known politician who has been tried and trusted by all Nigerians, and that if he is elected President, the country will prosper economically and socially.
