Abdulrahman Sulaiman, an 18-year-old boy from Bauchi State, is accused of murdering his older brother after a quarrel.
The boy, who lives in the state capital’s Games Village neighbourhood, is said to have stabbed his older brother for wearing shorts.
All attempts by their parents and others to calm the outraged young man were futile, and he attacked his older brother with a sharp knife.

“After losing so much blood, the elder brother was transported to Bauchi’s Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), where he was certified dead.”
“It was also alleged that their father passed out after hearing about the incident and had to be resuscitated by sympathizers.
The culprit has been apprehended by the Bauchi State Police Command.
While speaking to journalists at the NUJ Press Centre on a familiarization visit to the union’s leadership, state Police Commissioner Umar Sanda confirmed the arrest.

According to the Police Commissioner, an extensive investigation into the incident has begun, and the adolescent will be charged and prosecuted in court.
All attempts to reach the father or any close relatives about the occurrence failed because no one was willing to speak about it. They did promise to speak after the deceased’s burial.
